AFL PNG plans clinics for 90 schools in Moresby

first_imgThe clinic program is done annually nationwide and includes elementary right through to secondary schools and private schools as well.Part of the clinics is to have a very unique pathway that identifies talent and seek to provide opportunities to enhance and nurture this talent.The clinic teaches and introduce children age 5-17 years old the skills, drills, and fun games relating to the concept of AFL.Development officer Ian Karme said part of the clinic program is to focus on delivering lifestyle messages and advocating on healthy and responsible behaviour.“We believe in the ability we have to influence and educate our participants about the value of community and social responsibility and making informed decision in their lives,” he said. The program commenced at Ela Murray International School this week and will run for two weeks there with 47 kids participating so far.The development officers will also visit Bavaroko Primary School this Friday to run a one-day clinic.last_img
